4L60E Transmissions

QUALITY REBUILD SERVICE

Learn more
Welcome to 4L60E Transmissions. 4L60E Transmissions offers a quality rebuild service for the General Motors 4L60E family of transmissions. They include the 4L60E (M30), 4L65E (M32), and 4L70E (M70) transmissions. My goal is to provide an honest, quality, rebuild service for these transmissions at a fair price and enjoy my work in the process. I use new, brand name parts that are known for their quality and perform the rebuilding procedures with much care and pride.

This family of electronically controlled automatic 4-speed overdrive transmissions are in many General Motors rear wheel drive vehicles from 1993 up through 2014. They are strong and reliable transmissions that will give good service up to and over 150,000 miles if maintained and treated properly. Many OEM and quality aftermarket parts are available, which makes rebuilding these transmissions a common economical alternative to buying a replacement. I have worked in the performance camshaft manufacturing industry most of my life, but I enjoy working with anything mechanical and that includes automatic transmissions. The 4L60E family of transmissions have become my favorite and I have chosen to specialize in them. These are the only transmissions that I currently work on. I have tried to give detailed information on my transmission services, please read carefully through all of the pages.

The old and dirty transmission in the photo above is my own 1993 4L60E with 265,152 miles before being rebuilt. It was slipping and having problems when I decided to rebuild it. The transmission had been well
cared for and the inspection showed no major issues. My standard rebuild service along with some added components got the transmission back in great working condition.
